Just one of those games: Browns face defeat in Texas with 45-14 loss

I know everybody is saying to themselves, what happened to the Browns? Just, what in the world happened? Well, what I keep telling people is, I'm not mad at losing, it's just how they lost. We were   simply outplayed by a rookie quarterback named C.J. Stroud. Now don't get me wrong. I'm not discrediting Stroud by any means. He played a brilliant game, throwing for 274 yards, 3 td's and zero interceptions. He is a beast at this game we call football, and he made sure everyone knew it.

The Browns had a decent start, but still trailed 14-24 by halftime. There was still a chance to take the win at that point, but things got incredibly worse as the minutes went on into the second half. By the end of the 3rd quarter, Nelson and Harris scored pick 6's giving the Texans a 38-14 lead going into the 4th quarter. The main thing that we could not do in the playoffs is throw interceptions. Clearly we see how things ended up, but that killed us mentally and emotionally, especially for the defense. Imagine how much pressure the defense had to endure with trying to keep points for the Texans off the board. Unexplainable, but was definitely manageable in my opinion. We didn't use our phrase "next man up" by far, and you could literally see the life draining out of the Browns as time went on.

I mentioned earlier, it's not that the Browns lost, it's how they lost. It's a difference between simply losing the game but getting blown out in the 1st round of the playoffs is wild. Something us as fans did not expect at all. Maybe it was nervousness, or maybe it was the fact that we were not the better team in that moment. We must realize that 52-56% of our roster has been hurt most of the year, giving us a disadvantage anyway. Newsome was getting smoked almost every play, and Garrett didn't have 1 sack the entire game. I'm not exactly sure what it was, but the energy was off after those 14 points that they scored, and the spark never reignited.

Now, I will say this. To the entire team, we appreciate the season you have given us. You were fun to watch especially during the Flacco run, and you inspired me to know that there is a promising future ahead with a healthy team ready to play in the years to come. To Joe Flacco, you gave the team such a calm yet exciting run, not to mention maturity with your patience and veteran mentality. Cleveland appreciates you and will never forget the impact you brought to the Browns. To Deshaun, we can't wait until your return young man. We know you will do your best to make this organization the best in the AFC in the near future. And finally, to the coaching staff and front office. The fans appreciate what you have done for this team and the decision making throughout the rough patches of the season. It was rough to see our players go on the injury reports, but you guys still held your own and took the initiate to make the best decisions for the team. We also look forward to seeing any modifications you may have to help the Browns have a winning season next year.

Until then, thank you Cleveland Browns for a 11-6 season and a chance to see you guys into the playoffs!! We are forever Dawgs!!

Here we go Brownies, Here we go!! Woof Woof!
